Specialising in Trauma, Narcissistic Abuse & Coercive Control | ADHD & Neurodivergence

I’m Claire, a Person-Centred counsellor with over 12 years of professional experience, registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can explore even your most difficult thoughts and feelings. Embracing complexity—in ourselves and others—often brings about the positive changes and new perspectives needed for healing and self-discovery.

Having spent over 30 years living and working in culturally diverse communities — across South East Asia and South East London — I bring a culturally sensitive approach to therapy.

Specialising in Trauma, Narcissistic Abuse & Coercive Control

I have a deep understanding of trauma and its psychological, cognitive, and physical effects—including substance misuse, depression, dissociation, and social withdrawal. I believe healing begins with recognising your strengths and reclaiming emotional safety.

  • Narcissistic Abuse & Coercive Control
I support individuals impacted by narcissistic abuse and coercive control, helping them recognise complex behaviours, process their experiences, and rebuild emotional safety.

  • Trauma & Abuse
I’ve worked with complex cases involving suicidal ideation, self-harm, addiction, and the long-term effects of abuse across diverse settings, including NHS surgeries, prisons, drop-in centres, and care homes.

Expertise in ADHD & Neurodivergence

I’m passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients, especially those with ADHD. My specialised approach is informed by both my Advanced ADHD Coaching Diploma and a Certificate in ADHD in Adults: Assessment & Diagnosis, allowing me to effectively work with adults on key areas:

  • Emotional Regulation
Building tools to manage low frustration tolerance and periods of emotional intensity.

  • Shame & Self-Esteem
Addressing the shame and isolation that can arise from years of masking and misunderstanding.

  • Executive Functioning
Creating strategies to support attention, organisation, and memory.

My Integrative Approach

While my foundation is Person-Centred, I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs:

  • Attachment-Based Therapy

  • Trauma-Focused Therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Mindfulness Therapy

  • Motivational Interviewing
