I'm Pat, a person-centred (humanistic) therapist, and like all the counsellors at Echo, I have direct personal experience of narcissistic abuse. So, I can honestly say, "I get it." Everyone's experience is unique, but common themes emerge, and I can offer psychoeducation if you need guidance in this area. The real strength of the person-centred approach, for me, is that you can process your experience with someone who understands. You will be heard. You can rediscover your sense of self and your confidence in a safe and supportive environment.

I have a strong commitment to equality. I respect people of all faiths and none and understand that abuse can exist within faith communities. I am positive about neurodivergence and have extensive training and personal experience of autism. I am positive about Gender, Sex, and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) and am working towards accreditation as a "pink therapist" (specialising in supporting the LGBTQ+ community).

Qualifications & Training:

Level 4 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
Training in Working with Narcissistic Abuse
Training in Defining Gender, Sex, and Relationship Diversity Therapy
Training in Inside Autism
Currently undertaking advanced training in Narcissistic Abuse Treatment with Dr. Ramani
Accredited Member, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
Fluent in British Sign Language (BSL)
