Saida

I am a BACP Accredited Integrative Counsellor (MBACP Accred) with a Master’s in Inclusion and Psychology, and have worked across charitable settings as well as in private practice.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative and practical. I believe that while understanding our past experiences is important, therapy should also help us recognise patterns that may be keeping us stuck and develop the confidence to make meaningful changes.

I draw on Person-Centred, CBT and Solution-Focused approaches, adapting the work to each individual’s circumstances and needs. I aim to offer a balance of thoughtful exploration and practical strategies, helping clients gain greater clarity, challenge unhelpful beliefs and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

I have a particular interest in relationship difficulties, emotional abuse, challenging family dynamics, boundaries and self-esteem. I understand how difficult it can be to recognise unhealthy relationship patterns, particularly when these have developed over many years. My work focuses on helping clients rebuild trust in their own judgement, strengthen their sense of identity and regain control over their lives.

I also work with neurodivergent clients, recognising that differences in communication, emotional processing and ways of experiencing the world can shape both relationships and the therapeutic process. I aim to provide an individualised, neurodiversity-affirming approach that respects these differences rather than viewing them as difficulties to be corrected.

I see counselling as a partnership. My role is not to tell clients what to do, but to help them understand their experiences, recognise their strengths and make choices that feel right for them.

Ultimately, my aim is for clients to leave therapy not only feeling heard and understood, but also better equipped to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence, resilience and independence.
